Tatar region travelogue

Do you know what Tatarskii Proliv in Sakhalin was discovered for by Japanese people in 1809? His name is Rinzo Mamiya. He was a shogun's retainer living at the Edo period. I am interested in his achievement and would like to experience the scene which he looked at, and the felt thing.
As a starter, I got the replica of the map of Sakhalin which he drew from the National Archives. It was very elaborate and completely did not bore me. And I obtained "Tatar region travelogue" the other day. It is a modern language translation of the report which he submitted to the Edo Shogunate. I would like to become on intimate with kayakers in Sakhalin (Russia) taking advantage of this. Then, the Greenland style may spread also in Russia. ;-)

Do you know where the strait of this map is?

Although this strait is outside Japan, a Japanese discovered this. At the beginning, this strait was called in the name of the discoverer. However, it is another name now. I have no blood relationship with him. However, I do not want to lose the true name of the strait as a Japanese.
It will be my next goal there. I have the preparation for it HUGE! 

A New Start

Hi guys,
I was taken care of last year, I hope the new year finds you in excellent spirit!
I resigned from the President of QJ. It is expiration of the term. The next President is Mr. Uozumi. He is very gentlemanly and eager for research about all Qajaq's fields. I do not have any worries and entrusted the presidential chair to him. Please support Mr. Uozumi.

Then, I could concentrate on this "STORM ON" from now on. The traditional hunting culture of Greenland, i.e., the Qajaq, has the various information. They are distributed here and there. I would like to cover those information if possible at this site. However, the final purpose is to link with the friends in the world who loving Qajaq. In many cases, I will want your cooperation. Therefore, please join STORM ON.

I found a new star.

I found a new star in Italy. She does a storm roll splendidly by Qaanaaq and a storm paddle. It is enough as enlistment conditions to Stormtroopers. So she became our member tonight.
